Dr. Gerald K. Johnson II is a dynamic and results-driven fundraising strategist with a proven track record in strategic planning, partnership development, donor relations, grant writing, and revenue generation. With a passion for building sustainable funding models, he has successfully helped organizations secure over $20 million in philanthropic support, fueling national programs, community initiatives, and institutional growth.

Dr. Johnson has cultivated partnerships across corporate, foundation, and nonprofit sectors, working closely with executive leadership, board members, and key stakeholders to identify opportunities and maximize impact. His expertise extends to membership development, sponsorship acquisition, program assessments, and high-impact fundraising campaigns.

A recognized leader in the field, Dr. Johnson was honored as a "40 Under 40" recipient by Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. He serves as a Board Member for the Frederick Douglass Housing Corporation and a dedicated volunteer for the Circle of Change Leadership Experience, providing fundraising guidance to strengthen organizational effectiveness.

As a firm believer in lifelong learning and empowerment, Dr. Johnson holds a Bachelor’s degree from Florida State University, a Master’s in Higher Education Administration from Florida International University, and a Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership & Policy Studies from Howard University.

Dr. Johnson is also the founder of Kemet Capital, a firm dedicated to helping nonprofits and small businesses refine their funding strategies, mission alignment, and long-term sustainability. Through innovative fundraising solutions—including capital campaigns, endowment building, and comprehensive development plans—he equips organizations with the tools to transform their financial future and achieve lasting success.
